Rodrigo Fialho Borges is a partner at PGLaw, where he has a multidisciplinary practice in the various areas of private law. He is also Professor of Law at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) School of Law in São Paulo, where he teaches Business Law and coordinates the Study Group on Mergers and Acquisitions.
His expertise includes complex mergers and acquisitions; general corporate law services; analysis, preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts; estate planning; complex real estate transactions; structuring and negotiation of loans and financings; and human rights due diligences for financial institutions.
He also has great experience in providing specialized advice for startups and technology companies, as well as in structuring integrated practices for social responsibility and human rights for organizations of different sectors.
Before joining PGLaw, Rodrigo worked with other respected Brazilian firms and he had the opportunity to found and manage his own law firm, which gave him important management skills.
Between 2018 and 2019, Rodrigo was visiting researcher at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, sponsored by Professor Herbert Hovenkamp. And between 2014 and 2019, he coordinated the activities of the Journal of Commercial, Industrial, Economic and Financial Law (RDM) at the University of São Paulo Law School.
