João Paulo Braune Guerra is an associate attorney at PGLaw, where his practice is focused in Corporate law, Commercial Contracts, Corporate Ethics and Banking and Finance areas.

His expertise includes: general corporate law services; complex mergers and acquisitions; corporate restructuring; corporate governance; structuring and negotiation of international loans and financing; banking and securities regulation; corporate governance; foreign investment, anti corruption and AML compliance; and administrative proceedings before the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM); the Central Bank of Brazil; and the Council of Appeals of the National Financial System (CRSFN).

João Paulo also acts in the elaboration of judicial and extra-judicial strategies and in providing specialized advice for startups.

Currently, João Paulo is Master’s student in Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo Law School, where he also coordinates the activities of Revista de Direito Mercantil, Industrial, Econômico e Financeiro, the leading Brazilian journal focused on commercial law.
